I’ve been a songwriter for over 30 years with more than 1,000 songs written and 85+ TV/film placements. During COVID, I felt called to use my musical gifts to help children learn to read with joy and confidence. That’s when I developed the Sing to Read method and built a full phonics program around it.
I’m a magna cum laude graduate of Berklee College of Music, and I’ve spent my life writing and performing music for both adults and children. While my formal training isn’t in elementary education, I’ve worked closely with elementary education majors and mentors to review and vet every song and lesson in my program before releasing it. That way, families can trust that the material is both musically engaging and educationally sound.
It’s a complete phonics curriculum for ages 3–9 that uses original songs, videos, worksheets, and games. Kids learn one sound at a time through music and practice, which helps reading “stick” in a way that’s fun and stress-free.
Instead of relying on memorization, it uses multisensory learning—songs, rhythm, movement, and visuals. Kids sing the sounds, practice with games, and naturally remember them, which makes it easier for struggling readers to succeed.
Not at all! The songs and videos guide the lessons. You don’t need to sing or play an instrument—just press play and join in with your child.
It’s designed for parents and educators who want to bring music into anysubject—reading, math, science, or history. It teaches simple ways to use rhythm, songs, and co-creation with kids to make learning more memorable and fun.
Learn to Read with Music focuses on phonics and literacy. Music in Every Lesson builds on that idea and expands it into all subjects, giving families a toolbox to make every lesson more engaging.
